What a Eurodita glulam log house is

A glulam log house is a timber house built from glued-laminated wall profiles rather than single solid logs. A Eurodita glulam log house is a timber house kit whose walls are machined from glulam profiles between 70x130 mm and 220x260 mm, manufactured in Lithuania, on Hundegger CNC lines. Houses are built single storey or two storey, with two-storey designs handled as project-engineered work rather than a standard catalogue item, and every glulam house is quoted per project rather than from a fixed price list.

We glue the glulam ourselves, in our own factory. The lamellae are bonded with Dynea Prefere 6151 and hardener Prefere 6651, a two-component EPI adhesive that the supplier classifies as Type I under EN 16254; the supplier describes Prefere 6151 as formaldehyde-free. We then profile and machine the glulam on the same site. This describes the adhesive, not a certification of the finished glulam. Glulam walls do settle, but only minimally: in use the settlement is neither felt nor seen.

Eurodita glulam buyers are developers, holiday-park and resort operators, and dealers who specify glulam for their own catalogue or a client project; larger private homes are also assessed individually, on the same project-quoted basis.

What the Eurodita glulam house kit includes

Eurodita manufactures and supplies the glulam house kit: the wall logs machined to the specified profile, structural elements, and Eurodita timber windows and doors, dispatched flat packed from the Eurodita factory. Installation and how it is organised is agreed per project. Foundations, insulation fitting and connection to utilities are provided locally; turnkey delivery is not part of the standard supply.

A glulam house is priced in a written quotation for the project, never from a reused catalogue figure, because profile, corner system, storey count and finish all change the manufacturing job. Quotations are issued in EUR, excluding VAT and delivery, EXW Eurodita factory by default; Eurodita does not publish a lead time, because a glulam project's production schedule depends on what has been specified.

Drawings for a configured glulam project come out of the Eurodita design system: 2D CAD layouts, 3D visualisation and a material and cost calculation for that specific house, produced from the sketch or architectural drawing the buyer sends in.

Where a project needs them, structural calculations are carried out by external specialist partners, and building approval stays with the buyer's own local route. Eurodita manufactures around 50 glulam homes over 100 m² a year on average, a figure kept separate from its standard and bespoke production.

Technical & Build Details

Configured for specification-led projects

Eurodita can support residential, hospitality and lodge specifications through engineered glulam timber, with final use, approvals and documentation confirmed per project and destination market. The data sheet of each model records what the kit includes.

Insulation and glazing

The structure is supplied prepared for insulation; roof, floor and wall insulation is sourced locally where the project specification requires it. The data sheet of each model records its joinery and glazing. Eurodita makes timber windows and doors in the IV45, IV68 and triple-glazed IV92 systems; aluminium sliding systems are bought in from a specialist supplier.

Design flexibility

Layout, internal partitions and the number, size and position of windows and doors are drawn for the project. A veranda or terrace is drawn where the project includes one.

Trade & developer advantages

For dealer and developer projects the specification is reviewed and confirmed in the written quotation. Quotation and project documentation can carry the brand of the partner where that is agreed for the order.

A glulam model can be made in any glulam profile (70 x 130, 88 x 260, 135 x 260, 180 x 260 or 220 x 260 mm), confirmed in the written quotation. Size, layout, internal partitions and the positions of windows and doors can be changed for an order, and a veranda is drawn where the project includes one. Eurodita does not supply insulation material as a standard factory product: roof, floor and walls are prepared for insulation where the project requires it, and the material is bought locally. Every option is confirmed in the written quotation.
