Garden gym: log cabin kits for dealers and private buyers

A garden gym from Eurodita is a log cabin kit used as a gym: a timber building with one main room, flat-packed and machined to the order drawings. The garden rooms range holds 27 such models, from 4 x 3 m to 6 x 4 m and 5 x 5 m in external size, with solid log walls of 44 or 58 mm or with a twin-skin wall. Every order is quoted in writing.

This page is for private buyers in the United Kingdom and for dealers. It lists the models by size and wall profile, and says what the kit holds, what stays on the buyer's side for a home garden gym, and how an order is quoted. Buyers also call such a building a garden gym shed; the building here is a log cabin kit. Eurodita is a manufacturer in Lithuania, with manufacturing experience since 1994.

Ridge heights of the 27 models

The catalogue ridge heights of the 27 models in the table run from 234 to 293 cm. They are catalogue figures for the building, not heights inside the room; the eaves height and the ridge height of each of them are on its data sheet. For a gym, send the equipment or the height you need with the enquiry. Other heights and layouts are quoted as bespoke projects.

Summer houses in 44 mm logs

Apart from the corner models, the summer houses range holds 15 models of 12 square metres or more catalogued in 44 x 130 mm wall logs, from 4 x 3 m to 6 x 3 m in external size: Adam (4 x 3 m), Brookhaven (4 x 3 m), Oliver (4 x 3 m), Mini Weymouth (4 x 3 m), Harry (3 x 4.5 m), Sherborne (4.5 x 3 m), Bristol (4.7 x 3.5 m), Plymouth (4.7 x 3.5 m), Jamie (4.8 x 3.5 m), Dorchester (5 x 3 m), Louis (5 x 3 m), Charlie (5.7 x 3.1 m), Jack (5.7 x 3.1 m), Joshua (6 x 3 m), Austin (6 x 3 m). The data sheet of each model is on its product page.

Wall thickness for a garden gym building

A profile is written thickness first and log height second, for example 44 x 130 mm. Of the 27 models, 21 are catalogued in 44 x 130 mm solid logs and one, Archie, in 58 x 130 mm. A solid log model can be made in any of the 28, 34, 44, 58 and 70 mm profiles, and the profile is confirmed in the written quotation. The wall profile is chosen per project, by budget and technical feasibility. The page on 44 mm walls lists the ranges with that wall.

Twin-skin models

Five models have a twin-skin wall of 44-100-44 mm: a 44 mm outer skin, a 100 mm cavity and a 44 mm inner skin, 188 mm in total. The cavity is the space insulation occupies; it is not an insulation specification. The twin-skin cabins page shows the whole twin-skin range.

Insulation, windows and doors

Eurodita does not normally supply insulation material; the structure can be prepared for insulation sourced locally, and a twin-skin wall has a cavity for it.

Eurodita makes its own timber windows and doors. On the data sheets, the 16 solid log models with timber doors carry the garden type (IV45), with 4-6-4 mm glazing, and four of the five twin-skin models carry the residential type (IV68), with 4-16-4 mm glazing; for the fifth the type is confirmed in the written quotation. Timber doors have a 5-point locking system, and the opening windows are tilt and turn. Six Modern models have an aluminium sliding door, double glazed; the sliding doors are bought in from a specialist supplier, and the whole range is on the modern garden rooms page. The type can be changed for an order, and the written quotation names the type and the price.

Floor, base and what a home garden gym needs beyond the kit

The kit carries floor bearers, impregnated as standard, and 28 mm floorboards. The base is built locally from the footprint and drawings for the order, and the base type and size are confirmed for the specific model and site.

Anything a gym needs beyond the kit is on the buyer's side: rubber flooring, reinforcement, electrics, heating and ventilation. Send the equipment you plan to use with the enquiry.

What the kit holds and what stays on the buyer's side

A cabin kit holds machined wall logs in the profile on the order, floor bearers and 28 mm floorboards, roof structure and roof boards, timber windows and doors, and the storm brace and anchor set. The order drawings, specification and packing list are the record of what an order holds; see what is in a Eurodita kit.

  • Not in the standard kit: insulation material, roof covering and paint. Interior fit-out and unloading equipment are local.
  • Foundations, utilities and approvals: on the buyer's side unless agreed otherwise.
  • Installation: it is agreed per project. Unless installation is agreed for the project, assembly is by the buyer's own builder or local crew from the order drawings.
  • Delivery: it is agreed individually with each client, and the quotation states the delivery term. Unloading is the buyer's responsibility.

Garden gym cost: how an order is quoted

Eurodita publishes no price list. Every order is quoted in writing, in EUR excluding VAT and delivery. The specification issued with the quotation states the wall profile, floor and roof build-up, joinery and glazing, finish and options. A written quotation is valid for 30 days from its date, and within that period the quoted price is not raised because the cost of timber has risen.

Who can buy a garden gym building from Eurodita

Eurodita makes kits for dealers, distributors and private-label brands. For private buyers the supply route is confirmed project by project; garden building retailers can sell the finished building under their own name. Every order is quoted in writing.

For trade buyers

Quotations, drawings and documentation can carry the partner's brand, as agreed per order. There is no single fixed minimum order: the 19 to 44 mm standard ranges are volume-driven, while 58 and 70 mm cabins, bespoke structures and glulam homes can be single projects. See the dealer programme and private-label manufacturing.

Questions buyers ask about a garden gym

What is a garden gym building?

A garden gym building is a separate building in the garden used as a gym. At Eurodita it is a log cabin kit with one main room, in 44 or 58 mm solid wall logs or with a twin-skin wall, supplied flat-packed. The use is the buyer's choice: the kit is the same log cabin.

What sizes do garden gym rooms come in?

The garden rooms range holds 27 single-room models from 4 x 3 m to 6 x 4 m and 5 x 5 m in external size, which is 12 to 25 square metres of external footprint. Thirteen of them measure 5 x 4 m or 6 x 4 m. Other sizes are quoted as bespoke projects. Dimensions are external.

What wall thickness does a garden gym building have?

Of the 27 models, 21 are catalogued in 44 x 130 mm solid logs, one in 58 x 130 mm and five with a 44-100-44 mm twin-skin wall. A solid log model can be made in any of the 28, 34, 44, 58 and 70 mm profiles, and the profile is confirmed in the written quotation.

Can I buy an insulated garden gym?

Eurodita does not normally supply insulation material. The structure can be prepared for insulation sourced locally, and a twin-skin wall has a cavity for it. Five of the 27 models have a 44-100-44 mm twin-skin wall, with a cavity of 100 mm between two 44 mm log skins.

What floor does a garden gym kit have?

The kit carries floor bearers, impregnated as standard, and 28 mm floorboards. The base is built locally. Anything a gym needs beyond the kit, such as rubber flooring or reinforcement, is on the buyer's side. Send the equipment you plan to use with the enquiry.

How high is a garden gym building?

The catalogue ridge heights of the 27 models run from 234 to 293 cm. They are catalogue figures for the building, not heights inside the room; the eaves height and the ridge height of every model are on its data sheet. For a gym, send the equipment or the height you need with the enquiry. Other heights and layouts are quoted as bespoke projects.

Do I need planning permission for a garden gym?

In England, a garden gym building required for a purpose incidental to the enjoyment of the house can fall under Class E of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (S.I. 2015/596): a single storey, eaves no higher than 2.5 m, and an overall height of no more than 4 m with a dual-pitched roof, 2.5 m within 2 m of the boundary, or 3 m in any other case. It must not stand forward of the principal elevation of the house, and buildings other than the original house may cover no more than half of the land around it. Class E does not permit a verandah, balcony or raised platform, and on designated land or at a listed building permission can be needed. Your local planning authority confirms the position for your plot.

How much does a garden gym cost?

Eurodita publishes no price list. Every order is quoted in writing, in EUR excluding VAT and delivery. A written quotation is valid for 30 days from its date, and within that period the quoted price is not raised because the cost of timber has risen.

Who assembles a garden gym building, and who builds the base?

Installation is agreed per project. Unless it is agreed for the project, assembly is by the buyer's own builder or local crew from the order drawings. Foundations, utilities and approvals are on the buyer's side unless agreed otherwise.

Who can buy a garden gym building from Eurodita?

Eurodita is a manufacturer in Lithuania that makes kits for dealers, distributors and private-label brands. For private buyers the supply route is confirmed project by project, and garden building retailers can sell the finished building under their own name. Every order is quoted in writing.
