FAQs
What sizes do garden log cabins come in?
Garden log cabins range from a small log cabin of 3 x 2 m to larger designs of up to 7.9 x 6.9 m, external dimensions. Wall logs are catalogued in 28, 34, 44 and 58 mm; a solid log model can be made in any of the 28, 34, 44, 58 and 70 mm profiles.
Do I need planning permission for a log cabin in my garden?
In England, a garden log cabin incidental to the house can fall under Class E of the General Permitted Development Order 2015: single storey, eaves no higher than 2.5 m, height no more than 4 m with a dual-pitched roof, 2.5 m within 2 m of the boundary, or 3 m otherwise. Your local planning authority confirms the position.
How much is a garden log cabin?
Eurodita does not publish a price list. Every garden log cabin is quoted in writing, in EUR, excluding VAT and delivery; delivery is agreed individually with each client. The quotation depends mainly on the size, the wall profile, the joinery and any options ordered. For private buyers the supply route is confirmed project by project.
How do you insulate a garden log cabin?
The structure of a Eurodita garden log cabin is prepared, where required, for insulation sourced locally; insulation material is not supplied as standard. The twin skin range offers the other route: garden cabins whose walls are two log skins with a cavity for insulation. Published U-values describe the timber wall element alone and are not a compliance result.
Can Eurodita modify standard garden cabin designs?
Yes. Eurodita can review garden cabin changes such as footprint, roof height, door position, window layout or wall profile where technically suitable. Dealers should send the brief before quoting. Feasibility, pricing, production drawings, documentation scope and lead time are confirmed at quotation stage.
