The corner type is a separate line in the specification. The dovetail corner system is available on the four larger profiles, 88×260 to 220×260 mm, and is not offered on 70×130 mm. Dovetail is a corner joint applied to a profile, not a profile in its own right, so an enquiry names both: for example, 180×260 mm glulam with dovetail corners. On a two-storey house the corner choice also sets the appearance of the building, because the corner detail is visible on every elevation over the full height of two floors. How is a two-storey building engineered?

A second floor changes the engineering picture: the ground-floor walls carry the first-floor structure, and openings on both floors have to be placed so that the loads reach the foundation. Eurodita therefore does not sell a two-storey house as a fixed kit taken off the shelf; it develops each one as a project, and three boundaries apply to every one.

How does the project move from brief to drawings to quotation?

Every two-storey project goes through Eurodita’s own design and estimation system, a proprietary in-house workflow that combines 2D CAD floor-plan design, 3D visualisation, material and timber-volume calculation, cost estimation and branded PDF output. It is an internal tool used by Eurodita’s team on real enquiries, not a public self-service configurator.

The brief arrives with the footprint, the layout, the profile if known and the destination country. Eurodita’s team configures the building in the system, which produces the floor plans, elevations with dimensions, a 3D render, the specification and the window and door schedule, and calculates the estimate from the geometry and the maintained pricing data.
