What a 70 mm log cabin is
A 70 mm log cabin is a building whose walls are machined from the 70×130 mm solid profile. That is the thickest of the six solid wall profiles Eurodita makes. The profile is written thickness first: a 70×130 mm log gives a 70 mm wall and a 130 mm course height. It is cut on Hundegger CNC lines from kiln-dried Nordic spruce and pine, like every other profile in the family.
One clarification belongs at the top. The same 70×130 mm section is also produced as a glulam profile, the smallest member of the glulam series. Where 70 mm sits in the solid family
Eurodita machines six solid profiles: 19×100, 28×100, 34×100, 44×130, 58×130 and 70×130 mm. These are the only solid wall thicknesses it manufactures. A 35 mm wall does not exist. The figures 45, 68 and 92 are the IV45, IV68 and IV92 window and door systems, not wall thicknesses.

The table shows the practical difference for a dealer. The 19 to 44 mm ranges are volume-driven, so a profile change on those models is discussed as part of a programme quantity. The 58 and 70 mm profiles can be single projects, and a single pilot unit is accepted practice. There is no fixed minimum order across the range, and no blanket “no minimum” either; the quotation states what applies.
Any model can be specified in 70 mm
Every wall thickness is offered on every model. The thickness printed on a catalogue listing is the standard or featured profile for that model, not the only one available. A 5 x 4 m garden cabin listed at 44 mm can be quoted at 70 mm. A residential cabin listed at 58 mm can be quoted at 70 mm. The thickness is a specification line in the quotation, not a separate product line.
Some catalogue models feature 70×130 mm as their standard profile. The golf simulator cabins are recorded in 70×130 mm, from 3.54 x 4.64 m upwards, with a bespoke custom-dimension option. Among the larger residential models, the two-storey Roan at 8.45 x 7.6 m is recorded in 70×130 mm. So are the four-bedroom Nicolas on the same footprint and the Finlandia at 8.87 x 13.58 m. The dealer programme lists 58 to 70 mm as the typical profiles for garden offices and granny annexes. Footprints for every model are on base size by model.
What 70 mm changes, and what it does not
The profile changes two things a dealer can state with confidence. It changes the machined section of the log, and with it the timber volume, which is the main driver of the quotation. And it changes the internal floor area. Every dimension Eurodita states is external, so the inside is smaller by 70 mm on each side rather than 44 mm or 58 mm.
It does not change anything else on its own. A wall thickness establishes no thermal, fire, acoustic, structural or certification performance, and none should be inferred from it. Eurodita publishes no U-value for a finished wall or building. Where a project needs a figure for approval, the buyer’s designer calculates the wall as it will be built. That calculation uses the chosen finishes and the rules of the destination country. Structural calculations, where a project requires them, are carried out by external specialist partners.
A dealer who needs an insulated wall has a different route. The twin-skin family uses two equal solid skins of 44 or 58 mm with a 50 or 100 mm cavity for insulation bought locally. Where 70 mm fits in a dealer range
The 70 mm profile suits the top of a solid-wall range. It is for the buyer who wants the heaviest single-skin wall Eurodita machines without moving to twin-skin or glulam. Three positions recur in trade ranges.
- Larger garden buildings and offices. The garden office family is listed for the trade in solid 44 to 70 mm and twin-skin; 70 mm is its heaviest single-skin option.
- Residential cabins and annexes. Residential log cabins use solid 44, 58 or 70 mm or twin-skin, in one to four bedroom layouts. The granny annexe route lists 58 to 70 mm as typical.
- Single projects. Because 70 mm can be a single project, a dealer can quote one building without a programme commitment. That suits a first order or a special brief.
Above 70 mm the wall route is glulam: 88×260, 135×260, 180×260 and 220×260 mm, with the dovetail corner system available on those four profiles. The 70×130 mm glulam profile is excluded from dovetail corners. The glulam range is on glulam homes.
What a 70 mm kit contains
A 70 mm cabin leaves the Eurodita factory in Lithuania as a flat-packed kit. It carries the machined 70×130 mm wall logs with corners, joints and openings cut in. With them come impregnated floor bearers and 28 mm floorboards, and the roof structure and roof boards. Eurodita timber windows and doors and the storm brace and anchor set complete the kit. Wall logs are untreated by default; factory painting is an option with limited capacity and never the standard finish.
Insulation material, roof covering, foundations, utilities, paint, interior fit-out, installation and unloading equipment are outside the kit unless ordered. Assembly is by the buyer’s own builder or local crew. The component list is on what is in a Eurodita kit.
Trade terms
There is no price list. Every order is quoted in writing, in EUR, excluding VAT and delivery. The default delivery basis is EXW Eurodita factory; DAP is agreed per order and DDP case by case. Payment is on a 50/50 structure: half with the order and half before dispatch. Freight is quoted separately through third-party forwarders, and unloading is the buyer’s responsibility.
No dealer margin or resale price is published; the dealer sets its own pricing. Where agreed for the order, quotations, drawings, assembly guides, delivery notes and packaging labels can carry the dealer’s brand. The arrangement is on the dealer programme page.

- Model or drawing reference, from the catalogue or a bespoke brief.
- Wall family and profile in full: 70×130 mm solid, not “70 mm”, and not glulam unless glulam is meant.
- External dimensions as length by width, with any terrace as a separate figure.
- Joinery on its own line: IV45, IV68 or triple-glazed IV92, timber sliding or bifold doors, or aluminium sliding systems.
- Finish: untreated by default, or factory painting requested as an option.
- Destination country and intended use, so documentation and the approval route can be confirmed.
- Quantity: single unit, pilot unit or programme volume.
