Layout
The plan drawing shows one room drawn with one car. It also shows an open roofed bay beside the garage; one car is drawn in the bay.
Walls
The garage is closed with wall logs; the carport beside it stands open on posts. The wall logs are solid, of the 44 x 130 mm profile: each log is 44 mm thick and 130 mm high. Wall logs are supplied untreated by default. The profiles are set out on wall thickness and glulam profiles.
Floor
The garage is supplied without a floor by default; a floor can be supplied on order.

What sizes do wooden garages come in?
Single garages of 3.2 x 5.2 m and 4 x 6 m and a double garage of 6 x 6 m, plus a garage with carport of 6.61 x 5.36 m. The garages are catalogued in 28 or 44 mm wall logs; a solid log model can be made in 28, 34, 44, 58 or 70 mm. Dimensions are external.
Do you need planning permission for a wooden garage?
In England a freestanding wooden garage is assessed under Class E of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (S.I. 2015/596): a single storey, eaves no higher than 2.5 m, and an overall height of no more than 4 m with a dual-pitched roof, 2.5 m within 2 m of the boundary, or 3 m in any other case. Your local planning authority confirms the position.
Does a wooden garage need building regulations approval?
Under Class 6 of Schedule 2 to the Building Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2214), a detached building with no sleeping accommodation is exempt up to 15 m², and a detached single-storey building with no sleeping accommodation up to 30 m² when no point of it is less than 1 m from the boundary or it is constructed substantially of non-combustible material. The single log garages are about 17 m² and 24 m², the double garages 36 m².

The kit arrives flat packed: the wall logs and components are cut at the factory, with assembly drawings. The garage is supplied without a floor by default; a floor can be supplied on order. Installation is not part of our supply. Foundations stay with the buyer's local team.
