The model
Glulam Log House Challenger 5.89x4.54m is a glulam log house supplied as a building kit. It measures 5.89 x 4.54 m externally, an external footprint of 26.7 m². The ridge height is 441 cm and the eaves height 250 cm. It is listed with the contemporary glulam homes.
Layout
The plan drawings show, on the ground floor, an open living room with a kitchen area, a bathroom and the stair; above part of it, a loft that is open to the room below. Furniture and fittings in the drawings show how the rooms can be used; kitchens, bathrooms and interior fit-out are local scope.
Walls
The walls are glulam wall logs of the 135 x 260 mm profile: each log is 135 mm thick and 260 mm high. The glulam is glued, profiled and CNC machined at the Eurodita factory. Any approved glulam profile (70 x 130, 88 x 260, 135 x 260, 180 x 260 and 220 x 260 mm) can be specified for this model. Glulam walls do settle, but only minimally: in use the settlement is neither felt nor seen. The profiles are set out on wall thickness and glulam profiles.
Floor and roof
The floor is 28 mm floorboards on floor bearers that are impregnated as standard. The roof is boarded with 19 mm tongue and groove boards. A storm brace and anchor set is included.
Doors and windows
Doors and windows are double-glazed timber joinery with an insulated profile, made by Eurodita.
What can be changed
Size, layout and the positions of doors and windows can be changed for an order. Send a sketch or a drawing: the written quotation is prepared in the Eurodita design and estimator system, with 2D drawings and a 3D visualisation. Supply
