The History of Eurodita from 1994 to 2021… It’s a long list!
This blog post provides a brief overview of the company’s history. We are a manufacturer that produces for b2b clients around the world. Trust and reputation are two of our most important assets. Trust is built on honesty and transparency. This is how it ended:
Humble Beginnings
Our story began in 1994. Our company started as a Lithuanian craftsman manufacturing garden furniture for the local marketplace. We did well for ourselves but we knew from the beginning that we had to find a niche on the international market.
First British Clients
When a British company expressed an interest in our small-sized timber frame panel houses, it was a result of our networking efforts. We quickly moved from timber frame panels houses to interlocking log homes to increase our appeal to European dealers.
We hit the jackpot with this product and smart dealers across Europe wanted to do business. The product was great and there was very little competition. Similar log structures were made by only a few other Finnish and Estonian manufacturers. These were years of great growth for Eurodita. Each year, our sales network expanded to more European countries.
Scandinavian Investors
International investors were attracted to our early successes. Two well-respected companies from Finland and Sweden made significant investments in our company in 2010. Eurodita’s growth has been unstoppable since then. We also expanded our product range with the arrival of Scandinavian capital. We are now a top seller in products like BBQ huts, Kota grill cabins, and other similar items.
Tuindeco Legal Assault
Nothing is worse in business than a competitor with a better business model. The log cabin industry’s established titans began to see us as a new company offering better pricing. Their plans did not include competing fairly and sharing the market.
In 2014, Tuindeco, a well-known Dutch company sued us. The case was based on a charge of plagiarism. Their lawyers claimed that one our log cabins was a duplicate of their product. Our company was able to avoid a minor setback by being ordered by the court that all production processes be suspended for the duration of this legal process. The truth was ultimately revealed.
