This page describes how quality is controlled in the Eurodita factory in Lithuania: which checks recur in production, what is made in-house and what is bought in, and what the checks are not. It is an operational description of the factory routine, not a certificate.

The Recurring Checks

Recurring quality control in manufacturing includes:

incoming timber inspection;
moisture checks;
dimensional checks;
CNC and profiling accuracy checks;
joint and fit checks;
window and door checks;
completeness checks;
packaging checks;
final pre-dispatch inspection.

This is an operational quality-control description. It is not an ISO 9001 or FPC certification.

Timber and Drying

Wall timber is Nordic and Northern European spruce and pine. Eurodita uses both species; the species of a building is confirmed for the product or the order.

Timber is dried in-house in Nardi kilns, which run on electricity. The moisture target for wall timber is approximately 12 to 14%. This is the working range of production, not a warranty for each piece and not a regulatory claim.

Wall logs are supplied untreated by default. Floor bearers are impregnated as standard. Factory painting is an option with limited capacity, never the standard finish.

Machining, and What Is Made In-House

Manufacturing is based at one main production location in Lithuania with several workshops and production halls, approximately 5,000 m² of covered production space. Wall logs are profiled and machined there on Hundegger CNC equipment. The machine park also holds SCM machinery (Italy) and Auer CNC (Austria).

Made in-house: solid-timber wall profiling and machining, timber building kits, components for bespoke timber houses, and timber windows and doors in the IV45, IV68 and triple-glazed IV92 systems. Glulam is glued, profiled and machined by Eurodita on the same site.

Bought in from suppliers and integrated into the kit where the order includes them: insulated glass units, hardware and fittings, other small components, and aluminium sliding systems.

Complete Buildings Are Not Generally Pre-Assembled

Eurodita does not generally pre-assemble complete buildings in the factory before dispatch. A kit leaves the factory flat packed, as machined components. Joints and fit, completeness and packaging are covered by the checks listed above.

Drawings, Specification and Packing List

Every order is quoted in writing. Quotations and drawings are prepared in the Eurodita design and estimation system: an operator configures the building, and the system calculates the material volumes from the geometry of the project. Engineering review and commercial judgement still apply.

The specification is issued with the quotation, and the order drawings show the building as it will be machined. The shipment documentation includes a packing list; the exact set of documents depends on the shipment and the market.

When a kit arrives, check the delivery against the packing list and the order drawings before assembly begins. Report any difference to sales@eurodita.com with the document reference and the item concerned.

Certificates: What Eurodita Holds and What It Does Not

Eurodita holds no ISO 9001 certificate and no FSC or PEFC chain-of-custody certificate of its own, and it makes no blanket CE or UKCA claim for its range. Timber is bought from suppliers. Sourcing documentation is discussed only from the actual supplier and order paperwork of a specific project, and which documents are available for an order is confirmed at quotation. Where a project needs structural calculations, they are carried out by external specialists. Building approval follows the local route of the buyer.

Warranty terms are those stated in the documentation of the confirmed order. Eurodita publishes no general warranty figure.
