As a log home supplier, we pride ourselves in being the bespoke manufacturer of dreams. That is our slogan and the philosophy we base our business on. Nowhere is it more obvious than in Eurodita’s bespoke order process. We can take each design in our catalogue and adapt it to fully to the partner’s needs. But the real magic happens when we receive a truly bespoke order, a model we have never produced before. We would like to show our step-by-step process of what happens after we receive the bespoke order and what we do to bring the partner our best 3D model and a price offer – all within 24 hours.
Step 1: The Order
It’s the first step, but it is already the critical moment in the production process. Here we must receive all information about the glulam building: the roof type, wall height, length and width, wall thickness, door and window types. This is the measurable information that we require for every order. Most of our standard product kits are very flexible in terms of size and can be adapted on the fly. Plus, we produce standard glue laminated planks that allow us to offer the best price and choice ratio. Every size option you make on the form is the standard size we carry on our production floor.
However, we are the bespoke manufacturers of dreams and that means we can adapt to many requests. Sometimes, partners come to us with mere sketches of their clients’ requests and approximate sizes of the walls, rooftops and doors. Our job is to transform that sketch into a full 3D model, building plans and a price offer.
Step 2: The Offer
It is our goal to generate an offer for a partner within 24 hours. We are proud about being able to keep up with that schedule and you will always hear from us within that time frame. The offer consists of 3 parts: the 3D model, the price and the outline of the structure.
The 3D model simulates the final look of the building – be it a residential log house or a tiny garden shed. This look can be generated within a 3D rendering of the environment surrounding the building. That is determined by the personal request of the partner. This 3D model can be projected from various angles, to show the full look of the dream building.
The outline of the building showcases the measurements of the structure. Not only does it provide a clear picture of how big the building will be, but also gives a clear idea for the partner to figure out how big the foundation will need to be and how much area will need to be cleared for it. Partners that handle their own transport can also account for the costs and type of transport, best suited for delivery.
The price is largely determined by the size of the structure, types of materials (thicker, thinner, insulation-ready, etc.) and how non-standard the design is. This is where the information given in the first step is crucial, so we can give the most accurate and fair price possible.
We can make changes in the offer, if the initial proposition doesn’t fully meet the requirements. However, in our 27 years of experience, after working with partners for a while, we can proudly say we can produce offers that are accepted at the first provision. Each offer can have the name and logo of our partners. As a company, we consider ourselves a private label homes supplier and to fully commit to that, we perform offer modification, so that our partners can use them as their own.
Step 3: Production and Delivery
After receiving the payment, based on the conditions agreed by us and the partner, we put the necessary parts of the building into production. We say parts, because in most cases, the log structures will reach our partners flat packed in parts, like walls, floor parts, roof parts, etc. These pieces will need to be assembled on-site, not unlike a Lego puzzle. It’s faster and easier than building a timber structure from scratch and our partners can attest to that.
Delivery times can vary, based on the size of the building and the location. We always aim to fit the delivery within the timeframe of 2 weeks to 1 month. Our packaging options are dynamic. We adapt to each bespoke order, discuss with partners about their packaging needs and always look for ways to keep the delivery and packaging price low while maintaining safety and quality of both.
Step 4: Final thoughts
While working with our partners for a long time, we have perfected this system to the point where its efficiency is at its highest. We are always looking for ways to improve it and any partner feedback helps us do just that. We are happy to have developed our own software that allows us the swift provision of detailed offers and our partners couldn’t be happier. With this efficiency, we always have room for more partners, which is why our partner program is always open.
